Free 200 Litre Rain Water Barrels

Update 14 Feb 2011 - it looks like NZ Dishwasher Repair Company have moved/closed, so there are no free barrels available here.

Update Jan 2009 - The barrels are no longer free - they now cost $6 each.

These could be used for a small pond, rain-water collection, worm farm, growing potatoes etc.

Cheap ($6 each in Jan 2009) black plastic 200 litre berrels can often be picked up from NZ Dishwasher Repair Company at 85 Nelson Street, Petone. The barrels will either be out the front or for the asking in the workshop. Note that the barrels have contained dishwasher chemicals and will require rinsing out and are not recommended for drinking water.
